To begin with, there are three different types of water pipe that we offer:
The SC80 (PE80) service pipes are shell coated, and available up to 63mm, with pressure ratings going up to 12.5 bar.
These solid wall polyethylene pipes are manufactured using a specialist co-extrusion technique. They are produced as a single layer pipe wall construction with a black inner and a light blue outer, indicating the pipe’s material and application.
The SC100 pipes are shell coated, with pressure ratings going up to 16 bar.
These solid wall polyethylene pipes are manufactured from high performance PE100 materials using a specialist co-extrusion technique. The pipes are produced as a single layer pipe wall construction with a black inner and a dark blue outer, indicating the pipe’s material and application.
Barrier pipes are used in contaminated ground for the protection of drinking water from toxins within the surrounding soil.
A multi-layer composite structure pipe, the Barrier pipe combines the special characteristics of polyethylene with the excellent barrier properties of aluminium. They provide a lightweight, flexible and corrosion resistant option for pipes, giving users confidence in a safe and durable system that protects your drinking water.
For these water pipes, we stock sizes from 20 to 250mm, but if necessary, we can obtain sizes up to 1200mm. In coils, our water pipes are available from 20 to 180mm, while sticks are available from 63mm and upwards. From the Puriton range, pipes are available from 25 to 180mm in both sticks and coils.
Our water pipes are manufactured by Radius Systems. They meet all relevant specifications, and are available in a wide range of standard dimension ratio (SDR) ratings, so that they can tackle various forms of pressure. All types of pipe are suitable for open cut and no-dig installation, and are supplied with end closures to protect the pipe from dust or rodents.
