Since launching in November 2014, PE Pipeline Specialists has grown from a business started at a kitchen table into a recognised name across the water, gas and ducting sectors.
And who is behind that growth? It’s our team with decades of industry experience, practical knowledge and a shared commitment to customer service.
Founded by Paul Evans and Jane Bishop, the business was built on experience gained from working directly within the industry. Before starting PE Pipeline Specialists, Paul began his career as an agency driver at age 21, worked his way through every department and eventually became a depot supervisor. After that company was acquired, Paul decided to build something of his own.
Starting small, PE Pipeline Specialists initially operated from a unit just across the road from its current premises, at around a third of the size. Within the first year, the company began expanding the team, with Dean becoming the first employee. From there, PE Pipeline Specialists steadily grew its sales, accounts and warehouse departments as demand increased.
A major milestone came in 2019 when the business moved into larger premises to support continued growth. During this period, turnover increased significantly from £7 million to £14 million, reflecting both the strength of the business and the trust customers place in the team.
While the product range has expanded over the years, our core focus has remained consistent: providing reliable pipeline products backed by genuine industry expertise. In 2021, we introduced metering products to offer customers a more complete solution, further strengthening our position as a one-stop supplier for the sector.
