In a season marked by exceptional talent and tenacity, Ashton Athletic U21s, a local football team sponsored by PE Pipeline Specialists, has clinched the North West U21 Development League Championship B title. As a result, they have also earned promotion to the Premier Division.
The young squad showcased consistent performance and unwavering determination throughout the campaign, culminating in their crowning as champions. Their league victory was sealed with a commanding 5-2 win away from home to Ormskirk West End U21s. Across 16 games, the Young Yellows earned 12 victories, one draw, and only three defeats, meaning they finished the season with a remarkable 37 points.
Adding to their impressive league triumph, Ashton Athletic U21s also reached the League Cup final, an extraordinary achievement that speaks volumes about the team’s capabilities and resilience. Although they faced a challenging match and ultimately succumbed to a 4-3 defeat against Huyton Juniors U21s, the journey to that stage of the competition was nothing short of remarkable.
